What is IWMS Software?

An Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) is a software solution for Facility Management (FM) to help optimize the facilities and asset infrastructure across a portfolio of real estate. An IWMS software solution integrates five core functional areas for Facilities Management. It includes Real Estate and Properties, Facilities, Capital Planning and Projects, Operations and Maintenance, and Energy or Utilities.

IWMS provides administrative control over the entire portfolio including buildings, assets, spaces and the operation and maintenance to maximize current and future investments. In addition, a typical IWMS contains budgeting capabilities for capital improvements and future asset management needs in a unified database structure. The integrated approach supports better communication between departments and provides deeper visibility to make more informed strategic business decisions for current use and future growth needs or infrastructural changes.
