AutoCAD

Operate Space Management leverages the Autodesk Forge viewer to allow Operate users to view AutoCAD files in a web browser. As part of the CAD Floor Review and Approval Process, Operate transmits AutoCAD files to a Forge Application Programming Interface (API) for conversion to a Forge compatible file. Autodesk announced the introduction of a new, faster API as well as the deprecation of the previous API, effective September 30, 2022. Read more about it HERE.

FacilityForce has modified the v13.1.0 version of Operate to be compatible with the new API and is projected to release that version on October 26, 2022. In addition, a v13.0.1 patch is scheduled to be released prior to October 1, 2022.

What this means for FacilityForce customers is that between September 30, 2022 and the deployment of Operate v13.0.1 or v13.1.0 to the production environment, CAD Floor Approval will not be available. Customers may continue to view AutoCAD floors that were approved prior to September 30 as well as continue to prepare and upload AutoCAD floors to Operate after September 30 and before the v13.0.1 or v13.1.0 deployment.

FacilityForce continues to believe in and invest in the Forge platform including the future support of 3D Revit models. We recognize this interruption may affect your plans and we are working hard to minimize the impact.
