ASP Hosted Customers: Mandatory Upgrade Notice

Please review the following information and necessary actions

Version 2023.0 Upgrade for Hosted Customers:

The upgrade to the 2023.0 release is necessary for all of our hosted customers because the database version is being deprecated and will no longer be supported by our hosting vendor as of the end of October of this year. As part of our commitment to providing you the best possible experience, we are implementing this mandatory upgrade as a scheduled plan for each customer to ensure continuity of support and optimal performance.

In addition to including the necessary database upgrade in 2023.0, this release adds significant enhancements to improve usability and reporting. By upgrading your system, you will benefit from the latest improvements as well as the most recent security updates.

Pentaho Sunset:

The database version is the primary driver for this mandatory upgrade we also want to inform all of our customers that are still using Pentaho that we expect these services to be affected by this database change.

As was previously announced, the Pentaho application is no longer supported by FacilityForce (and previously, AssetWorks) as of the AiM 13.0 release which was made available to the customer base on April 27, 2022. We urged all customers still using older versions to update their software as soon as possible and to leverage the alternative solutions to Pentaho that have been made available throughout the recent releases of AiM.

In addition to the deprecated database version this sunset was already accelerating due to the age of the technology and the impending security issues that supporting older versions of the software were guaranteed to encounter with time. Continuing to use deprecated technology can result in a number of issues, including compatibility problems, security vulnerabilities, and decreased system performance. We are therefore forced to end of life access to the Pentaho application as part of this mandatory upgrade.

Our hope is that this notification, along with the 20 months of runway from our original announcement, have given your team the time it needs to migrate to our newest IQ features. If you feel you still need assistance, please reach out to your Customer Success representative to discuss how our professional services team may be of assistance.

They will work closely with you to schedule a suitable date for the implementation.
